There were no changes that could affect performance in such way. The most probable cause is incompatibility with some other add-on. There are known performance issues if you have "Ghostery" add-on installed. Please, write me to my support e-mail what add-ons do you have installed. You can also try to disable all other add-ons to see, whether it helps.
