Switched to a minimal-permissions approach: removed the tabs permission and added scripting together with activeTab.

Prefill of the input now uses activeTab + scripting.executeScript to read only location.hostname of the active page.

Added a small UX improvement in the popup: a clear button (#close) now wipes the input field and immediately runs a lookup. If the input is empty, the extension queries the current IP (same behavior as before when no value is provided).
No visual redesign. No new permissions or host access. Minor internal refactor only.

Compatibility update for latest Chrome/Firefox (Manifest V3).
Switched network calls to fetch and declared host permissions to resolve CORS.
Fixed URL query bug (?source=extension) and improved error handling.
Added click handler for the existing .search-button and optional auto-run on popup open.
Minor stability/UX improvements. No visual changes to the popup.
