TextMark Privacy Policy

Philosophy: TextMark is built with a "Local-First" and "Privacy-by-Design" philosophy. We believe your digital knowledge belongs to you and should never be tracked or sold.

1. Data Collection: TextMark does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, or highlights to any external servers. No account or email is required to use the extension.
2. Data Storage: All your highlights, notes, and tags are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (on your device). This data never leaves your computer.
3. Permissions:

Storage: To save highlights locally.
Tabs/SidePanel: To identify the current page and display highlights.
Host Permissions: To enable highlighting on any website you choose to annotate.
4. Third-Party Services: We do not use any third-party analytics, trackers, or advertising networks.

1. User Rights: You have absolute control over your data. You can edit or delete your highlights at any time. Uninstalling the extension will remove all local data associated with it.
