It wont sync across firefox instances, because the extension identifier is unique per installation. You can still manually retrieve the token from the synced firefox password manager though.

That's indeed a limitation -- and I don't see any obvious fix for it (short of implementing yet another ad-hoc password-manager with the web storage API, which is totally out of the scope of this little hack).

TotP worked great. good thing, cuz Firefox forced me to use it to write this review :)
It supports multiple keys... just add another and it adds an option. I REALLY like the privacy consciousness of the add-on.

Simple, lightweight, works with github new 2FA requirement, and much safer/private than using an app or online TOTP service
