Since YouTube decided to make even more money in spring 2025, and therefore pulled the strings in their content delivery system very tight, this tool doesn't work anymore.
It would need an update to again become one of the best YouTube downloaders out there, because that's what it was. Also it was one of the most versatile tools.

Once it got 5 stars from me using a different account, currently only one star because you can't vote zero stars.
I would like to see this tool resurrected, but for the time being I'll use Videomass.

use "Downr YouTube Downloader" instead. Search for it in addon store.

Hasn't worked in ages.

Has been a really great addon for a long time until it stopped working for me three years ago.
So I did let it live in my firefox out of hope that someday there may be an update which would get it working again.

But I think after three years of waiting in vain, it's safe to pronounce this add-on dead, uninstall it and look for alternatives.

So long, and thanks for all the videos, but I guess it's time to move on.
