Hey! First off, thanks for your feedback - this extension is still very much in progress, so some of the things you mentioned will definitely be improved in the future.

What exactly are you referring to in the second paragraph though? Recommendations on the main page should all be blocked, as in the screenshot on the addon page. If not, that's a bug - I'll look into that. Or are you referring to push notifications?

Also, it might be worth mentioning that this is currently not always working when navigating from a video page to the main page and back - if that's the problem, a simple page reload will fix this for now. I'll try to fix that bug later this week.
