postet 6 år sidenIt's definitely on my list of features to add. I hope to get to it soon. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Kees Bot, 6 år sidenThis is for me the perfect replacement for the old Rikaichan. My only wish is for a toggle in the preferences that would let me turn image ALT/TITLE attribute interpretation off.

postet 6 år sidenGreat idea. I've filed https://github.com/birtles/rikaichamp/issues/104 for this feature. Please feel free to add comments there about the specific reason for wanting this. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 15029195, 6 år siden
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av leumas1960, 6 år sidenNote: this works great for Anki cards if you use it with ankiweb.
Incredible add on! Works anywhere, Chrome, Firefox, laptop, phone. Word exports work well with Anki now, as I had written in my review some time ago. There is no better add on for on-demand Japanese translationUtviklerrespons
postet 6 år sidenYeah, that's a totally reasonable request. Sorry for the delay. (I don't think I got email notification for this review somehow).
Would it work to also just add the [] to the reading in the c, t, version? Feel free to follow-up either on the GitHub issue I created for this: https://github.com/birtles/rikaichamp/issues/97 or on twitter: @rikaichamp - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 14534141, 6 år sidenthis is a fucking brilliant add on, cheers to the creator. makes life 400 billion times easier as a pleb trying to study japanese. i use it a lot to read those simple NHK articles (a great resource for anyone who wants to regularly apply their japanese reading skills - https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/ ). thank you!

- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13543121, 7 år sidenSince the last dictinoary update, proper names are now showing up on top of the list of word definitions.
I do not like this change. Names dictionary still displays normally as always when I press shift. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av curt, 7 år siden

Edit: it's actually the Kanji stroke order fontUtviklerrespons
postet 7 år sidenThank you! There are no stroke order diagrams in KANJIDIC itself but I will look at adding something. - Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av samurai80, 7 år sidenThank you very much for this porting of Rikaichan. Is there any chance you port Rikaichamp for THUNDERBIRD too ? That would be great to say the least, and I'll probably make a donation if you do so.
I've been working in Japan in a Japanese company for a long time and Rikaichan for Mozilla Thunderbird helped me A LOT. I recently updated Thunderbird just to realize that Rikaichan wasn't supported anymore. Please HELP !
PS: I tried getting the xpi file after adding the extension to Firefox and then import it into Thunderbird. While the extension is properly listed and shown as compatible in Thunderbird, it actually doesn't seem to work :/
EDIT: Thank you for the answer and happy new year :) I hope you or someone else can do something about it. Unfortunately I'm not into software dev :( If it takes less than 6 months it would be awesome !Utviklerrespons
postet 7 år sidenThanks. I started digging into this a little bit today. Unfortunately it does seem like it will take time. I posted some notes that might be useful to others who want to help out: https://github.com/birtles/rikaichamp/issues/46 - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 14519704, 7 år sidenBefore I used Rikaichan and back then you could use the extension with pdf files open with firefox as well. For some reason, now pdf files opened with firefox will not show the pop-up window. Can you fix this? Also, if you could make this work with epub files it would be awesome.
EDIT: Thanks a lot for clarifying this problem, I have edited my review as this is something that the extension itself cannot solve. I used the link that you provided, this opens some unrelated pdf file and from then I opened my own pdf file within the same window and the plugin now works as it did before. Can you please explain what's special about that pdf tab that makes the extension work?Utviklerrespons
postet 7 år sidenUnfortunately there's nothing I can do about PDF files for now due to changes in Firefox that mean extensions can't interact with the PDF viewer (see bug 1454760 - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1454760). Some people have been able to work around this by using the PDF viewer at https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html and then opening a different file from the toolbar in the upper right. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 14519666, 7 år sidenIt would be nice if you include other languages (strongly request russian jmdict) and also "kirei cake"
