- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12812696, 7 år sidenThe developer is still transitioning Adblock Plus to Firefox 57, so much of the functionality has been temporarily compromised. In the meantime, I recommend not upgrading to Firefox 57 or reverting to Firefox 56 and using Adblock Plus version 2.7.1 to restore full workability. Addon rollback works for other addons annihilated by WebExtensions as well. Just make sure to disable Firefox automatic updates and set any Firefox-57-incompatible addons to update manually. Disabling addon compatibility checking and/or addon signature checking through about:config may be required, but I don't believe so.

- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Canoro, 7 år sidenit has been one of my favorite add-ons for Firefox, sites load faster without having to download all those ads, and the interface looks cleaner.
one thing that the previous version had that was better than the new version, is that you could whitelist a specific part of the site while allowing what you wanted to go through. now I have the problem in some sites that Adblock mistakenly blocks some essential parts of the site, and the only way to see that essential, is by letting all the ads go through.
its all or nothing, either you get infested by ads all around, or see a broken website lacking essentials. - Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Arturo, 7 år sidenUsed to be a 5 star but now, if I want to watch some clips on youtube (specially Jimmy K), the video will come up, but only the voice, no image and I've reported this but 3 months later, still no fix.
So I decided to try AdBlock (the one with the "hand" logo) and it's been fantastic, better than ABP. And ultimately, they're the same but AdBlock is better now because of that . - Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13215471, 7 år sidenVersion 3.0.1 didn't block custom objects.

postet 7 år sidenHello!
Thanks for your feedback! We are working on correcting issues with our block element feature. The list of blocked and blockable ABP items are now in developer tools.
How to get there:
Hit F12 and click on the "Adblock Plus" tab
or
Go to Menu > Developer Tools > Web Console and then click on "Adblock Plus" tab.
I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out to us at support@adblockplus.org if you have additional questions.
Thanks
Shannon

Firefox 57.0 - Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13502412, 7 år sidenThis is not Ad-Block's fault but it's yet another thing that Firefox Quantum has screwed up. Quantum nearly bricked my laptop when using ABP. Leaving me pretty screwed now.
- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av R.I.P. IE, 7 år sidenUsed to be fairly happy with it,
apart from things like having to set my filters again and again after closing and re-starting Firefox,
but with the FF 57 update it stopped working completely.
Now using the other well known one (I'm sure you'll find it when searching ;) - Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Abhi_GoodBoy, 7 år sidenNowadays it allows opening of new tabs of ads without blocking them.

- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Lee The Bee, 7 år sidenGreat but has a huge impact on CPU and memory usage. You are bleeding your userbase to uBlock Origin primarily for that reason.
- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13415425, 7 år sidenThis add-on is no longer worth using. The updated UI is horrible, complete with social links added in. The user functionality has been seriously reduced, a list of commands is gone and been replaced by an inept alternative. Until the latest update has been reverted, do not use ABP.
EDIT: Turns out the developer is right, this isn't the fault of the add-on dev but mozzila themselves. I will be using an earlier version of firefox to combat this.Utviklerrespons
postet 7 år sidenReverting the update is not an option that is available to us, only improving the current state. You can read more about this under https://adblockplus.org/blog/the-plan-towards-offering-adblock-plus-for-firefox-as-a-web-extension - Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av alkoro, 7 år sidenI hope, this 57+ update is not completed. Where detailed blocked list on page? Element hiding helper not work anymore, probably cause of WebExtension ADB update.

postet 7 år sidenBlockable items list has been replaced by a Developer Tools panel - press Ctrl+Shift+I (Cmd+Option+I on macOS) to open Developer Tools, then switch to the Adblock Plus panel. A move obvious way to open it would be great but sadly currently not possible (we filed a Firefox bug on that a year ago). You might need to reload the page, requests performed before the panel was opened aren't being displayed. As to Element Hiding Helper, it's sadly not possible to make it compatible with Firefox 57 but we want to incorporate parts of its functionality in Adblock Plus later. - Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av jorvnx10624, 7 år sidenThe Blockable Items Window must back!
Adblock better than ublock because of The Blockable Items Window show links in real time.Utviklerrespons

why? Firefox's add-on site just had an overhaul and I'm getting the feeling that a 'rogue' filter is currently screwing it up (which is undiagnosable with the current interface) and the added tab to the developer-tools is PRACTICALLY nonfunctional. (no means for sorting the items means I have to scroll a lot to check if there is any rule being misapplied, as it could be anywhere on the list)Utviklerrespons
postet 7 år sidenThe tab in the Developer Tools should do that for you, but it won't show requests that happened before that tab was opened - you might need to reload the page for that. It's consistent with the way Developer Tools work in general, and doing it differently would impose a performance cost on everybody, not just the people using this functionality.
