- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13417266, 8 år sidenv3 sucks big time.... Is there a way to go back to v2.xx???
- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13417203, 8 år siden
The developers must be getting paid by a competitor to destroy their product. It has become useless. Now even Tools in Google Search is blocked, can't change language and period anymore. Ridiculous.

If you have issues, our forums is where you can get help. - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13416703, 8 år sidenSeit Update am 06.11.2017 unbrauchbar. Man kann ABP nicht mehr vorübergehend komplett ausschalten.
- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12486790, 8 år sidenwow - I cant believe that the developers ruined this app with the last update! All the previous functionalities are gone! you can't even unblock items that you mistakenly blocked.

Je ne comprend pas ce changement brutal ! Quelqu'un a une idée pour ajouter un autre bloqueur de publicité ?

What on earth is going on in the developer's head?!

From one of the most useful addons it turned into some chromefied useless piece of dung. It doesn't even serve its basic function now. No option to view and block blockable elements on the page. Extremely disappointing..

As to blockable items, this was replaced by a Developer Tools panel - press Ctrl+Shift+I (Cmd+Option+I on macOS) to open Developer Tools, then switch to the Adblock Plus panel. You might need to reload the page, requests performed before the panel was opened aren't being displayed. - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av FaustGG2, 8 år siden

- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13415449, 8 år sidenHad to downgrade to previous version. No open blockable items menu and incompatible with element hiding helper. If it is not broken then don't fix it.

postet 8 år sidenBlockable items list has been replaced by a Developer Tools panel - press Ctrl+Shift+I (Cmd+Option+I on macOS) to open Developer Tools, then switch to the Adblock Plus panel. A move obvious way to open it would be great but sadly currently not possible (we filed a Firefox bug on that a year ago). You might need to reload the page, requests performed before the panel was opened aren't being displayed. As to Element Hiding Helper, it's sadly not possible to make it compatible with Firefox 57 but we want to incorporate parts of its functionality in Adblock Plus later. - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13415357, 8 år sidenLove v2.x, but this new v3 is absolute garbage. Not exaggerating... it's the worst update in the history of the program. I actually had to restore the older version from backup and shut off updates because it was so bad. The interface has gone from power user friendly to toddler friendly. Important features to allow custom filters have been removed entirely, or made so rudimentary as to not even bother. Wow. Who ever thought v3 could possibly be a good idea? I'm dumbfounded at the horrible interface. Just... so bad. Avoid this version like the plague. Do not attempt to upgrade if you're lucky enough to still be on v2.x.

While we'll keep improving the current state and add missing features back, going back to the old codebase sadly isn't an option. - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12924301, 8 år sidenWithout easily usable element hiding helper, the usability of adblock plus has drastically come down.

postet 8 år sidenYes, making Element Hiding Helper work with Firefox 57 is sadly not possible. However, we plan to incorporate some of its functionality into Adblock Plus in future. Utviklerrespons
postet 8 år sidenYes, with "adblock 57+" being essentially an old version of Adblock Plus for Chrome that's not surprising. We had to reimplement Adblock Plus for Firefox using Adblock Plus for Chrome as the starting point. You can read up on the background here: https://adblockplus.org/blog/the-plan-towards-offering-adblock-plus-for-firefox-as-a-web-extension- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Shutdown, 8 år sidenПерестали работать 80% правил блокирования которые собирались годами и прекрасно работали на 2.9.1.
- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av sugarcoookie, 8 år sidenI've enjoyed adblock for many years, but version 3 is terrible. The new version is so striped down, it's missing every useful tool from the old adblock. Element hider is gone, and while you can still click on elements, you can't use the short cuts that I used almost every day, like the "narrower"/"wider" keyboard shortcuts. You can no longer see blockable elements on a page. Supposedly there is a way to see them, but it didn't work and it was much more difficult to get to. Don't even bother with this version - look for 2.99.

I for one, would like to see at the least the following 2 options to be back from the earlier version(s):
1) Display Blockable Items -- When we click the ABP icon when inside of any page, it used to display links in that page that could be potentially blocked)
2) Custom Filters -- As of now, the only option to add custom filters seems to be to "block element" on a page, which does not seem to work 90% of the time. Bring back the old way wherein we can add custom filters by accessing links displayed in the "Display Blockable Items on Page" view. You have to keep in mind not all users are coders and are not that computer savvy as you might expect them to be. Meaning, adding custom filters is pretty difficult for an end user like me without ABP helping me by displaying a portion or all parts of the link (of the element) I would like to block in a page. Like I mentioned earlier, as of now, 90% of the time, new the "block element" feature opens up only an EMPTY BOX that says ADD FILTERS, without any link captured inside of it. It only has the ADD and CLOSE buttons, and the box totally empty without any link.Utviklerrespons

I hope the features from v2 are going to make it into v3 at some point.
Also, not a fan of the new UI in v3!
I wish Mozilla hadn't decided to kill off 'legacy' add-ons before WebExtensions had become a good enough replacement!Utviklerrespons
postet 8 år sidenYes, we definitely plan to add functionality back, but that will take time. We already waited with publishing this update as long as possible - Firefox 57 will be released in merely a week. - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13414550, 8 år sidenH-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!
This UI sucks so hard - incredibly horrible!
Why you not only updated the plugin engine referring to the latest Mozilla guidelines?
And partially the blocked/hidden sections came back since v3.0 ....Utviklerrespons
postet 8 år sidenIt's not as simple as "upgrading the plugin engine," large parts of the extension and particularly the user interface had to be rewritten from scratch. More on this here: https://adblockplus.org/blog/the-plan-towards-offering-adblock-plus-for-firefox-as-a-web-extension
