- Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av ginge, én måned sidenThis extension is reported not to work for downloads that are interrupted by "network error".
However, that was not my problem. As far as I can tell, some interaction between my cloud storage provider and VPN provider made my downloads fail constantly.
This extension does restart them.
So, does not work as advertised, does work for my use case.
Good luck.
I'm on 139.0.4 on Win 10 in June 2025 - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av LittleBigOof, 2 måneder sidenThis is working well for me on May 18th 2025, despite many other reviews saying that it isn't working for them.
Very helpful add-on, thank you :D - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Kanzuke, 3 måneder siden

Because it will check every minute your download history (this will slow down your browser). Search for "Download Auto Resumer" for an alternative add-on.

- Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Carsten, 2 år sidenHello Mr Abney,
it works very well for me. All downloads will continue.
I have a fast line (230 Mbit / s or about 25 to 26 MB / s) and I use an online service that works like a video recorder (www.save.tv) and I download my recorded videos, series and films from it with a size of about 2 to 4 GB per video.
Due to my (for me) quite fast line, it takes about 1 minute per GB, depending on the time of day, just a little more than 4 minutes for 4.4 GB. I also imagine that it is faster overall if the videos are downloaded one after the other. But it also works if, for example, 4 downloads are running at the same time. But then I have the impression that 4 files are slower at the same time than the same 4 files one after the other. However, I only estimated it and did not measure it.
So I sit in front of the computer and start the next download every 2 to 4 minutes.
If I now use Auto resume, all downloads in the list, and there may be 20 or more in the download list, are started at the same time.
Is it possible to add a switch or prompt for simultaneous downloads in auto resume?
That would save me a lot of work.
Unfortunately I can't post any pictures here, that would explain it better.
Thank you very much.
Carsten - Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 14912147, 3 år sidenMr Abney, my apologies. Your app does appear to work about 90% of the time but only in Chrome and Edge. Does not work in Firefox at all. Would be really nice if you could get the remaining 10% to work, seems that every now and then a NETWORK ERROR is not recovered from and restarted unless done manually. Not sure what is causing this periodic problem, but it works. If I can be of help in providing my experience let me know. ... 5@mail5.us ...Bob
