- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Gio, 8 år sidenThis is a very useful addon to avoid worrying about having to constantly delete cookies when closing tabs/logging out of websites.
On my FF57 it works properly. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Yojji, 8 år sidenI have been using this for about a month now and it works well. The whitelist export/import feature meant I only had to set up one computer. There are good instructions and FAQs on the Github page. This is a very nice replacement for Self-destructing Cookies addon.

Would be awesome if I could also use it on Android Firefox :-) - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av steve, 8 år sidenNeeded a new cookie manager to replace a legacy one I had been using. This works even better than the old one. Love having the ability to whitelist or graylist a site. Clean UI, and simple to use.

I can delete another add-on for cookies.
Thank you very much for that nice add-on. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12807278, 8 år sidenCookie AutoDelete is simply superb, especially the active mode, however I found a minor bug-glitch whatever you may like to call it. I hope that it will be removed in near future.
When you open a site in the same tab, which already has some other site open, then the cookies of the previous site are not deleted at once ( I am in active mode ). You can keep on opening sites successively in the same tab while your cookies would be piling up cumulatively. When you close that tab, then all the accumulated cookies are deleted at once ( active mode ).
Hope thats enough info to help in debugging. Still giving 5-stars because I really like the instant cookie delete in active mode with 0.02 minutes of delay. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Dave L, 8 år sidenThanks for updating for Firefox. 57. as a long time user of SDC, I needed a replacement.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12918745, 8 år sidenI've been testing Cookie AutoDelete as a successor to Self-Destructing Cookies, and so far, I'm very impressed with it. Great work!
I'll just note that, as of now, Cookie AutoDelete doesn't (at least for me) automatically delete cookies associated with a container. But aside from that, I haven't noticed any major issues.
With regard to Self-Destructing Cookies, according to its developer, Self-Destructing Cookies "is incompatible with Firefox 55+" and that "it will not be rewritten as a WebExtension." So I really appreciate that Kenny Do has stepped in to provide a worthy successor.
Many thanks to Kenny Do!Utviklerrespons
postet 8 år sidenThanks for using it. I'm currently working on the next major version 2.X.X which I hope to release a beta version soon. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13170600, 8 år sidenI am so tired of Google invading my browser. This little add-on though maybe not perfect is close to it!
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13284623, 8 år sidenThis extension is great, it is a must.
My bummer is that I was having
"privacy.firstparty.isolate = false" in firefox settings, for months, which prevented it from working.
I know this is not _your_ bug, but it would really be nice if the extension could check this config value and give a warning to user that nothing works!
The current result of the combination is a distastrous feeling of privacy.
Thanks for this great extension anyway! - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av youKnowWho, 8 år sidenGreat but lacks whitelisting complete domain as opposed to whitelisting only subdomain.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av nakivagyok, 8 år sidenI suggest changing the blue color to green (at Never Clean option), like at Self-Destructing Cookies, much more understandable.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av RobertJ, 8 år sidenThis add-on does everything you could want in cookie management. In testing it on FF57a it works as described.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av DAS, 8 år sidenBrilliant, but I have to agree with previous poster, Active Mode is a poor choice of name.

- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av David Hedlund, 8 år sidenGood as Self-Destructing Cookies, plus that Cookie AutoDelete comes with a useful import/export tool.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av cosmicomics, 8 år sidenThis add-on is good at deleting ordinary cookies, but, unlike Self-Destructing Cookies, it doesn't offer the option of hiding the window and turning off the noise when cookies are being deleted. It's especially irksome when I'm listening to music while browsing. I would very much appreciate it if you could add this option.
Edit 1
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm referring to the noise that comes with the notifications. I downloaded the add-on yesterday, and the preferences page showed the "welcome" text, but not the settings. Now it does. I haven't checked "Show Notification After Cookie CleanUp," but that hasn't had any effect. I've clicked "SAVE," but there's no indication that anything has been saved.
One last thing: After each setting there's a question mark, but when I click on a question mark nothing happens. I had hoped that clicking would show a short explanation of what the setting does. It would be helpful if it did.
Edit 2
I deleted Firefox and re-added it without the old files, and now I have access to the settings. Everything seems to work as it should. Thanks for your help.Utviklerrespons
postet 8 år sidenDo you mean the notifications because you can disable that in the settings as I said in the addon page.
Edit 1:
I think either your Firefox profile might be broken or there's another extension that's disabling JavaScript on the settings page. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av DevilishVicious, 8 år sidenVery good replacement for Self-Destructing Cookies. Working great so far. I just don't like the toolbar icon, it looks bad, poor resolution perhaps. But it's just a little annoyance. In terms of functionality it does the job very well.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12643713, 8 år sidenSo far does exactly what described. There are a few UX issues to iron out but otherwise this is great.
Of course, Firefox should include this functionality in the browser. Websites should have to ask permission or be whitelisted before setting cookies that never expire.
