If it add new feature like local conversion for 1080p & bookmarklet addon, I will give it five stars and pay for use - Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 14576756, 7 år siden
- Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 12367481, 7 år sidenThis add-on seems to keep up to date on a regular basis even when Youtube seems to change it's mind every week & changes things. Rarely is it inop. The 1 thing that prevents me giving it 5 stars is that at one time the download speeds of the smaller 3gp files use to download As Fast as the regular MP4 downloads. Now they drip through under a 100Kbs but that may have nothing to do with the add-on, I'm not really sure. I just miss the faster downloads we enjoyed before on those smaller files. I would like to see the other 3gp file size [240p] offered as well like some other add-ons offer. All in all, I didn't mind donating money to get the more restrictive downloads of of the MP3 files due to youtoob which changes its mind every week on how it works & what it takes away. Good support - thanks

However, not everything can be downloaded. - Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 14535102, 7 år siden

Installed this and it worked first time with no fiddling around digging for codecs etc; very impressed so far! - Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Namu, 7 år sidenI've used other youtube downloader extensions and this one does seem to earn its #1 rating. This one is self-contained (no other extensions or converter programs necessary) and works as advertised with some nitpicks. The download button does not show up when viewing videos in a playlist. It would also be nice to have an alternative to the download button in the menu bar (in case youtube does another sneaky interface update). The extension's built-in description in the add-on manager is a little messy and could be made to look more professional (as appropriate for such a useful extension). Although there are other downloaders that can work with sites other than youtube, I don't mind this one working well with just youtube.

- Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Yo Yo!, 7 år sidenWorks well, with minimum fuss. Download options and sizes are clear. Whenever YouTube breaks the old methods, this extension _very_ quickly finds a new way to make downloading easy. Update: Still working well, despite numerous changes by YouTube, in July 2021 - thank you!
- Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Nutamu, 7 år sidenEdit: I changed my rating because whatever it was that happened when I first used it, stopped.
The right videos are downloading (so far) and after closing and reopening my browser, the 720p option came back. So it was probably a glitch.
I was also told by email there is a minimum donation...but I accidentally deleted the email so don't remember what it is $10 or $15 I think.
To be honest, 720p is good enough for me. Maybe in the future I'll go pro but not now.
old review:
a little wonky...either a glitch or deception...not sure which...can edit my review later if it ends up a glitch.
When I got the add on, it told me 1080 could only be accessed with a donation...which I was fine with if I ended up liking it, I would probably get it.
Downloaded my first test video in 720p and straight off, it downloaded the wrong video, downloading a video I had watched earlier...but with the name of the video I was trying to download. Why?
So I went back to get the actual video I was trying to get, the 720p option vanished and told me I had to donate to get the 720p. It says everywhere to donate for 1080...not 720. And there's no 480 option so now I have no choice but to get a blurry video. Just great. How is this different than every other youtube app right now? *sigh*
So I head to the donation page to bookmark it for later...and now instead of asking for 5 bucks...it is asking me for $15. I might have had a spare 5 bucks...but not $15 for an addon that is already giving me conflicting information.
sounding kinda dodgy now
