av Cherwally, 4 år sidenI usually roll CCleaner everyday browse because i browse many hundred of pages daily and FF cache doesn't work very well after such intensive browsing!
But I fixed by adding to exclude list on CCleaner
the following 2 files: https://imgur.com/a/k6kR800
Hope it will give you a clue since i am not a programmer like you.
On a Win 10 64bit, Firefox 88 (i need chrome folder for some tabs skin tweak)
This add-on "forgets" the 2 selected (and saved) search engines (Google & Yandex),
and searches just on Google (which is also set by me as the main search engine of the browser)
It needs a new save on the already selected engines to "refresh" the memory of the add-on.
Could you check what's happening?
Is there any temporary cookie or validity of the saved choice that will expire after awhile?

This should not happen, the selection should stick and persist after restarts, etc.. Does this happen after a browser restart or just after some time? Do you have some specific about:config flags set that could cause this? Feel free to create an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/Brawl345/Image-Reverse-Search-WebExtension/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+sort%3Aupdated-desc

- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Urodoc, 8 måneder sidenTried it Feb. 2025 with jpg's from my pc opened into Firefox, hoping it would invoke google lens. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work at all on images from the pc; all search engines respond something like Oops or "couldn't upload image". Hoping there's an improvement available...

postet 8 måneder sidenThis won't work, this add-on is explicitly designed for images on the web because it needs to access public URLs. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av ibillingsley, 8 måneder siden
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Sklurm, ett år sidenHave been using this addon for a few years now, can't recommend it enough! Thank you Brawl!
The only thing that could make it better is if it didn't switch to the new tab when searching, but not sure if that is possible with addons.
Edit: Dev replied saying feature already existed, making it better! The options are tricky to find with extensions.Utviklerrespons
postet ett år sidenCheck the addon options, there is "Open in background" (sorry for the late answer!)
EDIT 2: In the newest version you can now click the extension button to open the options. Should be easier to find now. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Matthew, 2 år siden

It was a little hard for me to find the settings. You have to go to Firefox' extensions settings, and on the Reverse Image Search details page (you can also get here directly from the extension's own icon, via the "Manage Extension" link), you click the three dots icon to the right of the on/off toggle button and there's a link to the the preferences. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 17064427, 2 år siden

postet 3 år sidenSorry, Mozilla forced me to release a new version with an incompatible Bootstrap framework and now the checkboxes are missing - I didn't look into it but they threatened to remove the addon if don't replace the version. I will try to fix it, meanwhile install v3.4.1 from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/image-reverse-search/versions/
EDIT: I just submitted v3.4.3, this will fix it. Thanks for the hint! - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 6861890, 3 år sidenNot working with Google Image search.
[EDIT]
It works again! Great. I've changed star rating from 1 to 5 stars.Utviklerrespons
postet 3 år sidenI've gotten multiple reports about this but I and multiple people cannot reproduce this, sorry. This is an issue at Google, not with the addon and nothing that I can fix.
