I've tried a bunch of other text-to-speech extensions and wound up removing them after they sounded grating and robotic, or they wanted to monetize me. This is a wonderful extension that more people should know about and use.

I wish it had female voice and one time when I went to highlight a large block of text on a web page, it spun and spun and didn't produce any audio. In the meantime, I've just been highlighting smaller sub-sections.

Works as advertised. Enter or copy/paste text, save or play mp3 file. No gimmicks.

Can you change the name of the extension to match the name (Text 2 Speech (TTS)) that's stated here at AMO?

The inconsistent naming leads to confusion when this extension is installed alongside the Text to Speech (TTS) extension that predated yours.

Doesn't work -- "no text selected, please select text and try again".

For today it's the good solution for those, who have tired to hear metallic voice without any intonation and attention to commas or dots. The first male voice for English is better (IMHO).

It always outputs "No text selected, please select some text and try again". What Service does this use?
