Paying extra-fees for a web site like Youtube that's offering free videos from people who also make them for free, is simply unacceptable. If this is some "backdoor royalty" for Youtube, then it should be brought to some legal debate since the revenues aren't shared with the actual content producers ... Else (since I don't believe it'd be such "backdoor royalty"), then it's essentially unethical opportunism - not to say thievery - while trying to make money over the popularity of a FREE web site and its content providers.
