Oversimplies and has ads for the extension itself, which doesn't make sense. It actually says,

with "Get Wikiwand" as a clickable button to this extension page, which conveniently guided me to the review section so as to leave a poor review. Great work, dev, advertise to use the extension within the extension.

The whole extension removes utility from Wiki while replacing it with ads for itself. Especially if you are a wiki contributor, stay away from this toxic extension and don't be dazzled by it's semi-modern and over-simplified UI

Wikiwand was the greatest Wikipedia add-on ever. Now they totally screwed it up with the most intrusive, useless ads I've seen in a long time. If only they were even remotely related to the content at hand, but no, they're totally random and add no value at all. Also, they're seemingly immune to ad blockers, because as soon as you pick up the elements to block, the whole page UI gets messed up. Disgusting.
Guys, you need revenue? There are better ways, I'm sure.

I used to like you, Wikiwand. You could have been great. You could have been better than Wikipedia.

But no.

Now you show ads embedded straight in the source code so you bypass adblockers. As an added bonus, they break the page now. Hooray, killing two birds with one stone! Don't even bother blocking them with element hider because they're a hydra; cut off one head it grows another.

Did you piss off your investors? Revenue running on fumes? I'm sorry but you guys have lost my respect for selling out and aggressively pushing ads onto the end user. It's funny because Wikipedia stood against ads and you people decide to go against that, full steam ahead. I doubt that 30% goes to Wikipedia.

Straight to the trash it goes, like it belonged in the first place. It was too good to be true.

If the intrusivity was an honest mistake then I will eat my words. Until then, this review stays.

Ads?? Are you joking? Uninstalled. A pity, because the extension was pretty, but ads are an absolute no-go.

Uninstalled the moment they put ads on Wikipedia. Sleazy and only 30% of their revenue goes to wikipedia. Completely shameless and I will never use your product again.

This addon was pretty cool, but trying to make money off of Wikipedia articles with ads is sleazy. Uninstalled.

Ads on top of the page is too much. It was once my favourite extension, just sad to see it sell itself to ruin user experience.

Wikiwand used to be great, but now adds a line of shitty advertisement on top of wikipedia. Sad to see one my favorite wiki improvements turn to this :(

Beautiful but this is not an extension that modernize wikipedia, is a redirect extension to another site.

1. Rechts neben der Adresse befindet sich ein Icon für einen verbesserten Reader mit der Seitenfarbe Speia und Vorlesefunktion
2. Bei Wikipedia kann man eine "Link - Vorschau" mit dem letzten Link in der Leiste ganz unten aktivieren
