2025-12-16 Extension login failed. Windscribe.com blocked my IP address (what's the point of a VPN company blocking a pooled CGNAT address? Why not just use IPv6 addresses?). Logging into windscribe.net (using the same credentials as the extension) works fine. Writing to support@windscribe.com, including the details, results in an automated response redirecting to Garry (the bot) and the Knowledge Base, which are hosted on windscribe.com and block my IP in the first place. Reddit? Why not point this out right away instead of having users waste their time? Using other reputable VPNs is much easier than this.

Did exactly what its meant for, Windscribe is so Underrated

Useful and pretty easy to use; also, it has advanced settings for more tweaking if needed.

абсолютно нерабочее, к сервам не подключается, а если и подключается, то в любом случае ни 1 сайт не грузится, ваще никакой. +Требует авторизации, да и всего 10 Гб на месяц это мало.

Been using windscribe for years and I never had to use any other VPN

I've had a subscription to Windscribe for several years. Our CISO at work has made an effort to block outbound VPN connections, but Windscribe connects to any endpoint I wish as easily as if my PC were in the DMZ. Same for many restaurant hot spots, schools, medical offices, etc. I love that Windscribe automates connections using several different protocols and encryption methods, and I can secure my browsing from meddling network admins as easily as pressing the "On" button.

Great app and Garry from the HelpDesk is awesome!

First of all, the VPN works fine. You need to make an account, and you only get 10GB for free, but I can get over that since it's still a pretty good deal.

BUT. This extension messes with you configs without ever warning you about it or giving you the choice to disable it. It will automatically disable all prefetching and Firefox network prediction, even if the VPN is toggles of and you disable all privacy options in the extension settings. I believe that an extension that tramples over my preferences without even mentioning it ANYWHERE or giving me the option to disable this behavior is not worth it if you truly want to be able to have control over your own browser.
Obviously this doesn't affect you if you have prefetching disabled anyway, but anyone should realize that any form of unintended behavior is pretty bad.

Even when i reached the data limit for the month, IT DIDNT TURN OFF, didnt even let me turn it off by myself, i had to DELETE it to even fix the internet on here, DO NOT GET IF YOU ARE NOT PAYING, IF ITS FREE AND IT HAS A PAID PLAN IT IS HORRIBLE MOST OF THE TIME

Убожеское конченое фуфло. НА сайт захожу авторизуюсь. НА расширение авторизоватся никак не могу. Несколько десятков раз пробовал - нивкакую. Просто фуфло нерабочее

Funktioniert gut, ein Stern Abzug, weil der "Verbrauch" an Megabyte pro Nutzung nicht immer nachzuvollziehen ist.
