It simply doesn't work at all on my Firefox. On github..com..Vulpelo..hide-youtube-shorts, there is no troubleshoot info. There, it also says 'setting a timeout to not allow checking for shorts more often than a specified time'. There is no such option, there are no options whatsoever in the extension.

I can finally search for something on YT without having to sift through 3 shorts for every actual video I see (this was especially important as YT doesn't remove shorts from the search tab even when you try to hide them elsewhere). Recommend.

Does what it says on the tin, just blocks those obnoxious shorts. You would think how I've constantly told those to go away on my homepage that they'd get the hint, but they really wanna shove it down your throat. (As in, I'd click the "not interested, then very shortly after I return to the homepage and they're back) So I'm glad for an extension that gets that shelf out of my sight

As predicted, youtube went from having a monthly "hide shorts" button to a "show fewer shorts" to now not being monthly anymore but needing to press it every time on my YT homepage. because they love shoving them down your throat. i dunno if theres a glitch that causes it to be like this.. but i am very thankful for this extension just getting rid of them permanently <3

It doesn't work when going through searches. I've tried, the Shorts Tab still shows up. :(
