This add-on would be useful for many people but on Firefox it just isn't usable. With Grammarly activated Firefox CPU usages goes through the roof on my Macbook. My Windows PC is bareable because it's a powerful machine, but on a slower work provided PC Grammarly is just too slow. I suspect Firefox's API just isn't providing the needed functions for Grammarly to work smoothly, but unfortunately this goes against the extension itself.

I don't need Grammarly because I have auto-correction

Grammarly sends up to 10k DNS requests to it's servers every day. That's 380 requests per hour! or 6.3 requests per minute! Queries servers are grammarly.io, grammarly.com, grammarlyaws.com.
Why would they do that?? Why would grammarly addon ask for IP of mothership server so often? Uninstalling this.

It is wrong more often than correct. It works halfway decent on spelling, but grammar is wrong most of the time.

I thought that this was a great grammar tool, but when I Started watching a video, The video would just not appear. And when I removed Grammarly, The video worked absolutely fine. I was not signed in, so My guess is that If you don't sign up/in, they will break the website you are on.

When I go to sign in to the extension, it opens a tab, I sign in on the website, and the extension... keeps showing me as not signed in? Thanks, Grammarly.

Might seem harsh to rate 1/5 for one issue - but when you charge people $150 and they don't get what they pay for, your ratings are going to suck.

Disappeared off of Facebook

Grammarly disappaired off my Facebook and can not get it back on?

Well i was using it mostly on Facebook and after i had to go and get a antivirus program and install it, on my computer. I noticed that when I was on Facebook it would not work any more there, so I uninstalled Grammarly and reinstalled it and it still wont work on Facebook, so i don`t know what to do .

I tried multiple times but the extension just doesn't see that I am already signed in, which means that it works only with a limited functionallity (useless). The problem persists both on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04. Please fix this.

The icon is just grey in the text box on any website and doesn't detect spelling errors or incorrect grammar.

How can this add-on be recommended? Privacy should be the most important thing here, as we type very private stuff inside the browser everyday, but:
"We may also use this data...automatically collect..log data and usage information...We may share...with our third-party...as otherwise legally permitted..."
"We only sell it without your name/ only meta-data"? - Yeah, but after three sentences any cheap AI can find the one in 7 Billion, who writes like that.

A Major Nuisance App!! It has suddenly started constantly opening up windows EVERYTIME I start using Firefox bugging me that I am not logged in (even though I HAVE BEEN!), pushing me to install Grammarly for Windows, and their damn Icon BLOCKS your typing area in ANY comments, input area or such on every website! This app is more trouble than it is worth! I've switched to LanguageTooler GmbH No membership or login required!!

DO NOT USE. Anything you write Grammarly takes license of. So if you write a novel or a short story they own the rights to it and can sell and use it WITHOUT your permission.
