Magnetar Guardian blocks adult content, phishing, scams, and unsafe websites with age-based profiles and PIN-locked settings. It is not surveillance software. No data is collected, no browsing is tracked, no information leaves your browser.

FOUR AGE-BASED PROFILES
- Young Child (Under 7): Maximum protection. All categories blocked, safe search enforced, social media blocked.
- Child (7-12): Strong protection. Adult, gambling, violence, drugs, and social media blocked.
- Teen (13-17): Moderate protection. Adult and gambling blocked. Social media and safe search left open.
- Vulnerable Adult: Scam and phishing protection for non-tech-savvy adults.

Every toggle is fully configurable. The profile sets sensible defaults, the guardian customises from there.

200,000+ BLOCKED DOMAINS
Nine categories: adult content, gambling, violence, drugs, dating, proxies/VPNs, social media, phishing, and malware. Blocklists compiled from StevenBlack/hosts and Universite Toulouse UT1 blacklists.

KEYWORD FILTERING
Scans page URLs and titles for inappropriate words and phrases. Includes a built-in keyword list covering adult content, violence, self-harm, and common evasion tricks. Guardians can add their own custom keywords.

SAFE SEARCH
Forces filtered results on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and YouTube Restricted Mode.

PIN-PROTECTED SETTINGS
4-8 digit PIN created during setup. All settings require the PIN. Kids cannot disable protection or change anything. Lockout after 5 failed attempts.

GUARDIAN BYPASS MODE
Temporarily pause all blocking for 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Protection re-enables automatically.

PRIVACY FIRST
Zero network requests. All blocklists are bundled with the extension. No analytics, no telemetry, no remote servers. The PIN is stored as a salted SHA-256 hash, never in plaintext. Block statistics are aggregate counts only, no URLs are ever recorded.
