Installed Applications (Deceptive Apps Protection)
As part of SentinelAI's "Deceptive Apps Protection" feature, the Software scans your device for installed applications that may be deemed harmful, deceptive, or otherwise unwanted. This scan helps you:
Identify and block applications that pose a risk.
Prevent the download of high-risk or deceptive applications in the future.
Scope of Collected Data: We gather information such as app names, versions, and other identifying details. If you are a registered user, the scan results may be associated with your account for personalized support and recommendations. If you prefer not to provide information about your installed apps, do not use this feature.
AI-Powered Analysis Features
SentinelAI includes AI-powered features that analyze content to detect threats, scams, and privacy risks. These features handle data as follows:
Email Scanning & PII Detection (Browser Extension): When you use the email scanning or PII detection features, the content of email messages (including subject lines and message bodies) is transmitted to our servers for real-time analysis. This content is processed in memory and is not stored after analysis is complete. No email content is retained on our servers.
Scam Lens (Desktop Application): The Scam Lens feature allows you to capture a screenshot of a window for scam analysis. The screenshot image is transmitted to our servers for real-time analysis and is not stored after analysis is complete. No screenshot data is retained on our servers.
Anonymized Scan Metadata: For all AI-powered analysis features, we collect anonymized metadata about scan activity, including the occurrence of a scan, its result (e.g., threat detected or not), and a timestamp. This metadata is associated with a universally unique identifier (UUID) and cannot be used to identify you or reconstruct the content of any scan. This data is used solely for service improvement and aggregate analytics.
