Not working. I select text and then right click to choose color. It basically flashes that color and nothing happens.

I was. But should that matter? I don't believe that this plugin depends on my login.

Are you signed in to Google Gmail?
In 7.0.0 , you now have the option to store your highlights with Firefox's synchronized storage, so you don't need to login to Google Bookmarks.
