nowadays, it seems the developer has opted to reroute your download to a number of ad sites (among them, several that have been Black Flagged as a potential risk) ... have deleted this app from my system and have gone onto looking for something that is a bit more friendlier

An excellent extension to Firefox. Straightforward to use. I wish I knew about this sooner.

This extension works more often than not, but sometimes things from third-party advertisers download things such as the Opera Browser without asking, and keeps asking for you to allow notifications after saying No to them. The only way sometimes to get out of the third party mess is to close, then reopen the extension and try again. I can get 1080P on this extension where most apps either don't work anymore, or only capable of downloading in 360P. I will still use it, unless IT too stops working because YouTube blocked it, or whatever causes the other extensions to break. 03/2025: Doesn't work half of the time now, takes you to a lot of adult websites , and I keep getting virus warnings. Maybe it will download the first 22.5 MB of a twenty-minute video now. 03/20/25: Takes you to a fake Microsoft Virus Warning page, and won't let you click out. I wouldn't give my name or a nickel for Premium to anyone who would do business with such sleazy third parties just to make a Buck. I wouldn't trust them with my info as far as I could throw them, and couldn't care less about their rationalizations about it either.

As of January 2025, this works with YouTube videos. Have tried so many other extensions, but this one really works. Well done

LUV IT SO MUCH. WAS DISAPPOINTED WHEN MY LAST FLASH DOWNLOADER "DISAPPEARED", BUT THIS ONE WORKS GREAT. ONLY WISH IT WAS CAPABLE OF STARTING THE FLASH DOWNLOAD FROM ANY SPOT IN THE VID IM STREAMING.

No problems at all! Only feature request is that it let me download all the videos on the page. Right now it seems I can only download videos that are currently playing.

Agreed with everyone else. Aside from the intrusive pop-up urging me to write this review after using this extension merely a handful of times, I have to admit that it works great. Very fast, and love the "bookmarking" feature that lets you keep lists of videos that you don't necessarily want to download.

Downloads most of the videos I click on - but not all (hence the 4 rather than 5 star rating!). Could also do without the nag screens to review this product.

I often grab bits to use for animated .gifs or punctuation in posts, so this is certainly worth owning.

I have an older mac book pro so once i downloaded the video it was hard to play it because of my older mac so i am not a good person to write a review. it downloaded just fine but then i couldnt retrieve it because my laptop is too old to connect to the download thanks.

uBlock Origin blocked this downloader this morning for the first time.
