FIS live ski jumping site quality of life changes including (100% accurate) predictions of jumping points and rank and much more
Better FIS is a browser extension for the FIS Ski Jumping live results webpage. It introduces dozens of small quality-of-life improvements as well as a few highly useful tweaks. For example, it predicts a jumper's rank and total points the moment the distance and judge points are provided. Once all required judge points are confirmed, the prediction is updated by changing the color to green (or one of the top 3 color palettes).
Important info: First, the color logic: There are two key places where colors indicate different things: the wind compensation rank and the total rank. The wind compensation rank is red if it can still change. Once the distance is given (making the wind compensation official), the color changes to black. Next: The total rank color is gray if not all required judge points have been submitted, meaning the points may still change. Once all 5 judge points are received (or 4 if all 4 are the same), the block will turn green (for ranks 4th or worse). For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, the block will turn gold, silver, or bronze, respectively. If the block is red, it indicates that there was a gate change from the previous to the current athlete. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to predict the gate compensation with 100% accuracy, so until the FIS site provides the updated compensation, the rank will remain red. The next athlete may receive the compensation from the previous athlete, provided they are jumping from the same gate.
