This extension replaces the www.youtube.com/redirect?... links with the actual url, which results in you not getting tracked for that link, and not having to be redirected by google (faster speeds).
On youtube.com, a observer is started to check for any new anchor tags, if the anchor href link contains www.youtube.com/redirect, it gets the q parameter (redirect link) and replaces the href of the anchor with it.
