FontAra 5.0.0 is a major update focused on better multilingual font control, smarter RTL support, and richer per-site customization.

What's new:
- Added a multilingual, RTL-aware interface for English, Persian, and Arabic.
- Added smart RTL support for supported websites, including automatic direction handling for messages and editable fields.
- Added Google Fonts, Chromium system fonts, safer custom font uploads, and unicode range presets for custom fonts.
- Added per-site profiles so each website can use its own font, activation rules, and text stroke settings.
- Added adjustable text stroke controls.
- Added richer website management with domain, path, wildcard, regex, and default-site controls.
- Added a compact popup layout with pinned default sites for faster daily use.
- Added settings backup, import, reset, sync, context menu actions, and keyboard shortcuts.
- Expanded built-in site optimizations across AI tools, social sites, productivity apps, search, messaging, and writing platforms.
- Improved live updates so font, site, profile, RTL, and text effect changes can apply without reloading pages.
- Improved runtime reliability, storage normalization, content lifecycle handling, Shadow DOM handling, and cross-browser MV3 build tooling.

Notes:
- Existing settings are normalized into the new settings model where possible.
- If a site behaves unexpectedly after upgrading, reset settings once from the options page to re-seed the new defaults.
- Google Fonts requires network access to Google font endpoints only when Google Fonts are enabled and selected.

FontAra 4.2.0 is a major stability and performance update.

What's new:
- Added the Arad font as a bundled font option.
- Improved font loading and bundled font handling.
- Improved support for editable fields and rich text editors, including contenteditable editors such as ChatGPT.
- Reduced repeated font application work for better performance on dynamic websites.
- Improved custom font handling, validation, and selected-font refresh behavior.
- Improved popup/options UI stability and font previews.
- Hardened extension lifecycle, storage handling, CSP, and release checks.
- Updated the extension build system from Plasmo to a native extension build pipeline.
- Updated tooling and dependencies, including React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, and Biome.

This release also includes many internal tests and reliability improvements for font injection, custom fonts, site matching, icons, and extension UI behavior.

We’ve fixed the issue where fonts wouldn’t change on some sites like Twitter and LinkedIn.
