    Would it be possible to create the same extension but in different appearance? Like marking word Cat and showing „Cat“ with no additional spaces above and below?

    Sounds like a pretty good idea. What would you think about using the same extension, but a different shortcut and different settings for "block quote" (what we have right now) and "text quote" (what you propose)?
    Update: Version 2.0.0 implements the suggested feature.
