Sweep is a tab manager for Firefox-based browsers that automatically unloads inactive tabs to reduce memory usage and improve performance. It uses a Least Recently Used (LRU) strategy to keep your most relevant tabs active while safely discarding the rest.

Unlike simple time-based unloaders, Sweep prioritizes tabs based on actual usage. The tabs you interact with stay ready, while older, unused tabs are unloaded in a predictable and transparent way.

Note for Zen Browser Users: Due to current API limitations in how Zen isolates its custom workspaces from standard Firefox WebExtensions, Sweep's tab unloading is strictly bounded to your currently active workspace. It cannot read or unload tabs hidden inside inactive workspaces.

Sweep is designed for users who keep many tabs open and want control over performance without relying on Firefox’s built-in, memory-pressure-based tab unloading.
