Tab Shortcuts

Shows the tab shortcut number in each tab title, like ⌘1, ⌘2, etc.

What it does

• Prefixes each tab title with its shortcut number.
• Matches Firefox's shortcut order and skips collapsed tab groups.
• Updates automatically when tabs move, open, or close.

Limitations

• Firefox maps 1 through 8 to the first eight tabs, and 9 to the last
  tab. If there are more than 9 tabs, the middle tabs won't show a number.
• Internal pages (about:*, moz-extension:*, etc.) cannot be modified, so no
  shortcut number is shown there.
• On non-macOS platforms the prefix uses # instead of ⌘.
• Only tested on MacOs for the moment.

Permissions

• tabs: read the tab order and listen for tab changes.
• tabGroups: detect collapsed tab groups so they don't count.
• <all_urls>: inject the content script to update tab titles on web pages.

This add‑on does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. It only reads tab metadata needed to calculate the shortcut index and updates tab titles locally in your browser. No data is stored and no external network requests are made.
