Privacy Policy for Typography & Typescale Extractor

This Privacy Policy applies to the "Typography & Typescale Extractor" browser extension (the "Extension") created by Ben Tran.

My philosophy is simple: your data is your data. This Extension is built with a strict "offline-first, local-only" architecture.
1. Data Collection and Usage

To function, the Extension must read the visible text and CSS properties (such as font family, size, weight, and color) of the web page you are currently viewing.

This extraction only occurs when you explicitly click the Extension icon.
The data collected is used exclusively to render the typography design system grid within the Extension's popup window.


1. Data Storage and Transmission
   
   No External Servers: The Extension does not connect to any external servers, databases, or APIs.
   No Analytics: The Extension does not contain any tracking, telemetry, or analytics software.
   No Storage: The typography data is stored temporarily in your browser's local memory and is completely destroyed the moment you close the Extension popup.
2. Data Sharing

Because the Extension does not transmit or store any data, it is impossible for your data to be shared, sold, or transferred to any third parties.
4. Required Permissions

activeTab: Allows the Extension to access the current tab's content only when actively invoked by the user, ensuring the Extension cannot monitor your browsing history or background tabs.
scripting: Allows the Extension to inject the local CSS-reading script into the active tab to perform the typography extraction.
