(So far) I've tried 3 or 4 other (paid) popular VPN services, which I discontinued, after either having issues with their policies and/or after having researched them. Proton is my choice.

Чудовий впн для браузера, тим більш що він безкоштовний.

On another note, we are aware of the logout issue and our team is working on a fix, although we don't have an ETA at the moment. For the time being, as a workaround, you can log out of the browser extension, restart your browser, and when logging back in, select 'Keep me signed in'.
