This tool is designed to block intrusive advertising. And it does what it says. But when you build a better mouse trap, they will build a better mouse. I learned early that when you thought you had solved the problem, a new problem comes along and replaces the old one. Ad Block plus does a good job at a very special problem. And it's never really let me down.

Since the most recent upgrade, ABP is virtually impossible to use if you wish to view media of any kind without intrusive auto-loading ads. It is either off with all ads running upon launch of a web site, or on with nothing visible or accessible on the web page but some stray text. The interface is too simple and not at all intuitive with not enough customization or advanced options. Right now I just want to revert back to an older version. Please fix this or allow us to revert back to previous version.

The upgrade to 3.x is now allowing ads previously blocked.

Mostly stopped working with the updates for the new Firefox. I get a ton of ads and pop-up windows now!

It was a best ad-blocking add-on I ever used. But it was before the new UI with a new approach for using this add-on were added. It's not a useful add-on for now. Now can't create or edit blocking rules in an easy way, you must go deeper into the settings. But the most annoying thing - it's not possible to use "Block element" just like before. It works randomly, it could work on some sites, but it couldn't work on other ones and I can't understand why. I'm going to remove this add-on and have a look at another one. Very disappointed.

Yes!! With the LATEST update (3.0.2 in dec 17) they finally fixed the built-in element blocker (previously an add-on) which was broken for me ever since Quantum FF came a long. Infact it's way way easier to use now as there's no need to enlarge/shrink the blocking area and almost guess if you'd end up blocking many more elements on the page than you mean to!. 5 out of 7!

Fine till sites stopped working. But even removing the program will not stop sites like CBS, NBC, ABC and HULU from not working. You get a message only.

I loved this extension as it made browsing so much easier and safer without all the pop-up ads.

Unfortunately, I have now moved from Firefox to Palemoon as it has an interface that is usable by me after the abortion that is Firefox Australis and Quantum. I have abandoned firefox for Palemoon which is Firefox without all the user interface rubbish that the Mozilla team introduced to make their browser look more like Chrome. It runs faster and is more stable too. I have my lovely interface back again too!

Thanks to the author of this extension, without it I would have abandoned Firefox a long time ago. It saved my browser's life more than once from malicious ads that injected code into the browser. Thankyou for that.

Now this extension does not work under quantum, the time has come to abandon Firefox for Palemoon. I am recommending the Palemoon browser to all who read these reviews, I am a long term Firefox user but now I am a dedicated Palemooner- I promise you, you won't look back.

Author, please use some of your skills to adapt this extension to PaleMoon. PM is actively supported and your extension was one of the most useful that is missing from PM's add-on compatible list. Palemoon is an actively supported browser that is being used by more and more users. It is not a legacy browser and your skills would be well-placed in adapting Adblock Plus to work on PaleMoon.

I am a dedicated Firefox user but I feel that I have been abandoned by Mozilla - not the other way round. PaleMoon for me IS Firefox.
