(If I were a more dramatic person, I would've said it was DEFINITELY life-saving.) I think I stopped having it after numerous Firefox update that made the version I used incompatible. I haven't felt the need to block certain sites again, thanks to the disciplined habit this add-on helped me build. But now, I'm slipping on the procrastination track, and no better time than to re-install this add-on.
The add-on is highly versatile and doesn't dictate you on how and when to use it. Multiple options make it highly customisable to your own needs, including multiple options of site-blocking groups (i.e., you don't have to worry about needing to access one site while it's being blocked together with another site -- put them in different group, activate them separately, and you're good), scheduled blocking time, ability to start blocking at any time you want, and the option to override the block if you desperately need to (personally not recommended to use unless it's a life or death situation).
If you're looking for a site blocker that's easly altered to your needs as well as easy to use, this is the one for you.

Pretty simple QoL improvement which should also discourage the user from changing other addon settings once out of set overrides.

It's also helped me with impulsive purchasing by putting a timed block on sites so I can 'window shop' for 5 minutes but then the site is blocked for 30 mins with a message on the block page I wrote myself saying "stop shopping, you're already in debt" and that 30 minute period is enough time for me to realize I don't really need anything I had added to my cart and alleviates the guilt/regret and shame of a package showing up a few days later full of shiny new objects that will just add to the clutter in my house that I'm trying to streamline to sell right now. I would recommend this site to anybody who struggles with impulse control or time blindness. The ability to add a message in your own words is so incredibly helpful too and is helping me refocus my easily distracted ADHD brain on tasks I need to be doing instead of chasing easy dopamine online. I've also added permanent blocks on sites I've shopped on that have resulted in unexpected additional fees like customs/brokerage charges that most companies include in their shipping charges these days. So many ways to leverage it to improve your mental and financial well being.
