    The real thing, and, has never let me down for 2 straight decades. There are a lot of wannabe fake ones that "look" like they are blocking stuff this one misses but that's not true, they are just "stealing" those stats by stepping in front and blocking them before it can by moving itself up in the page handler queue. Don't be tricked by fakes or moofed by reviews of novices/kiddos who can't configure their devices properly.

    WHAT IS THE POINT OF YOUR 'BLOCK ELEMENT' OPTION WHEN EVERY TIME I RETURN TO THE PAGE THE ELEMENT IS NOT BLOCKED!!???

    The plugin works fine overall except it randomly opens a new tab every time it updates, begging for donations. I get it, stuff costs money to make. This is a really annoying way to ask for donations though and cheapens the experience. Other ad block plugins dont do this.

    used this for a long old while, at the very least a decade, but now, not only with it being ineffective on youtube but also in general, there may be better alternatives out there like Ublock origin

    We're aware that YouTube has been intermittently testing strategies to show either ads or their anti-adblocking wall. However, in some cases we've found that your settings might have changed which is why ads are suddenly appearing.     Im using this addon for long time already and it worked mostly, but since a while YT can access my FF addon settings and disables this addon automatically after YT is recognizing that Adblock Plus is installed and active, so it doesn't take effect anymore-> no block functionality anymore, biggest question is, how can YT access settings on FF and change them, and also, which other settings can be accessed from outside to FF?

    We are using a new strategy to handle YouTube's anti-ad blocking warning. When we detect YouTube's notification, we will automatically pause Adblock Plus so you can continue watching without disruption. The pause is temporary so if you leave YouTube and return later, it will remain unpaused until the warning is detected again. We believe YouTube will only attempt to show you the wall for a day or two and then we can go back to blocking ads as normal.

    I have used it for many years and it is great, but I don't know why it was forced to shut down by Youtube recently.

    AdBlock PLus 4.19 is double loading webpages. Why? This is a "new" feature that is not necessary. What happened to this formerly awesome app?

    Adblock Plus no longer blocks ads on Youbube. Other browsers and ad blockers do however.

    Since last update, app is consistently blocking 0 items on all websites. It's essentially useless now and I will be searching for a new and true ad blocker.
