AI Block for YouTube is a crowdsourced blocklist for AI slop that you don't want to see. It can mark videos from blocked channels with a visiblenoverlay or hide them entirely. It also includes an option to hide YouTube Shorts.

The add-on refreshes a remote plaintext blocklist hosted at https://github.com/echosintherain/aiblockyoutube/blob/main/block.txt every 4 hours and stores a local copy in Firefox so filtering works immediately.
Users can also add their own local entries and report channels for review from the popup or the YouTube context menu.

When a channel is reported, the add-on can send the channel details and notes via a worker to create a GitHub fissue for manuak verification . The remote blocklist is plain text
data only and is not remote code.`
