Appreciate the thoughtful feedback! You're right about some exception issues (I've faced a few in Google Chat e.g.). Hope to fix the URL matching so exceptions work more consistently. The wildcard rules idea is great too, though I deliberately opted for that tradeoff in favor of simplicity and minimalistic functionality.
