UPDATE 2021-08-22:
Les Merlotta's trick for Mac from 2020-10 is still working on Firefox 91.0.1 Mac:
"Type "about:config" in your Firefox address bar (like going to a website), click "Accept the risk and continue". Then copy/ paste "full-screen-api.allow-trusted-requests-only" and change it to false."

Thank you Trishul, good job. Running fine in macOS 10.10.13 High Sierra with Ctrl+Shift+F. I like that Cmd+Shift+F remains for the default full-screen behavior.

Just one request: please add an option page where to toggle if FS mode shall be left or kept when clicking onto a link (and maybe another option when leaving a domain).

Apologies for late reply.
For now, full screen API doesnt allow to keep fullscreen if user navigates away from current URL

Also on addons.mozilla.org we can not load content script, hence it cant run this addon on the same

    As others have mentioned, you must go to about:config and search for 'full-screen-api.allow-trusted-requests-only' and double click to change it to false. I needed to restart Firefox afterwards, but once I did the plugin started working as advertised. Very happy with this plugin, I now no longer have migraines when working in full-screen from the constant toolbar pop-ups!

    Doesn't behave as one would expect, YouTube music opened the album cover in fullscreen instead of the page.

    Also it seems to only work when it wants to. Keybind on YouTube music worked the first time, but after moving the window it stopped working, didn't get it to work on other sites.

    Hello, is it possible to update your addon, can you make the windows task bar appear which is at the bottom also in full screen, when you hover the mouse the bar appears and disappears, like the tabs at the top .

    Bonjour, est il possible de faire un mise a jour de votre addon, pouvez vous faire apparaître la barre des taches de windows qui est en bas aussi en plein écran, au survol de la souris la barre apparait et disparait, comme les onglet en haut.

    The developer should add that it needs full-screen-api.allow-trusted-requests-only to be set to "False". Anyway, thumbs up for making an addon that finally circumvents Mozilla's failing F11 handling
