Simple, self-contained (qrcodes are generated using an included js library instead of a web service) and open source.

The recent update adds a white border around the qrcode - so there are no longer problems scanning the code when the web page is dark.

I would love this more than five stars if I could get it to work with my normal camera app (moto / lenovo )

That only works if there is a white border around the QR , and I'm using a dark theme :(

edit... after some testing this seems to be the case for any qr reader so far ... no white border = no scan

This extension is great. Only thing I am missing is to be able to generate QR code from selected text, maybe in right click menu?

... and most important part, respect my privacy and doesn't send my data anywhere! :)

Works great. I love that it's offline and shows the qr code as a overlay.

I wish I could increase the size of the image shown. And it would be nice to have it accessible through the context menu of pages and tabs. Using a menubar icon isn't my favorite.
