ScamScan is a crypto safety tool that checks suspicious URLs, wallet addresses and smart contract addresses.

What data the add-on may process:
- The current tab URL when the user starts a scan.
- Visible page text and links for local detection of crypto wallet or contract addresses.
- Wallet addresses, smart contract addresses or URLs selected by the user for scanning.
- Authentication/session information when the user logs in to ScamScan.
- Basic technical data needed to operate the service, prevent abuse and enforce free usage limits.

How the data is used:
- To generate a risk summary, verdict, score and safety signals.
- To detect crypto-related entities on the current page.
- To support account-linked features such as watchlist.
- To maintain service reliability, security and abuse prevention.

ScamScan does not sell user data. ScamScan does not collect seed phrases, private keys or wallet signatures. Users should never enter seed phrases or private keys into ScamScan.

The add-on sends selected URLs, wallet addresses or smart contract addresses to the ScamScan API only for the purpose of producing a safety report.
