WSM Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Wes’s Secrets Manager (WSM) browser extension processes data only to provide password/secret management features.
What data extension handles
Account connection details you enter (server URL, username/email)
Authentication/session tokens needed to talk to your WSM server
Encrypted or plain secret metadata/content you create or sync (depending on your setup)
Local extension settings (theme, sync state, update state)
Technical request data required by your own WSM server APIs
How data is used
Authenticate you to your configured WSM server
Sync vault/secrets between extension and your server account
Let you create, edit, search, and delete secrets
Keep a local cache for extension functionality and offline use (where applicable)
Data sharing
No sale of personal data
No advertising networks
No third-party analytics SDKs in extension
Data is sent only to server endpoint you configure for WSM operation
Storage and retention
Extension stores required app/session data in browser extension storage
You can remove data by logging out, clearing extension/browser storage, or uninstalling extension
Server-side retention is controlled by your WSM server configuration and policies
Security
Extension designed to minimize exposure of secret values
Communication with server expected over HTTPS in production
You are responsible for securing your WSM server and credentials
Your choices
You choose whether to link extension to a server account
You can edit/delete stored secrets and disconnect account at any time
You can uninstall extension to stop all processing in browser
Children
Not intended for children under 13 (or local digital consent age)
Changes
Policy may be updated as extension evolves
Updated version published with new effective date
