arXiv provies a special API using which one can retrive the title of the paper; such a service is not avilable for generic pdfs, unfortuantely.

Further, due to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1454760, the addon is broken even on arXiv at the moment.
