- I really love this add-on, but I am finding it hard to figure out a way to better organize by size [resolution]
- When I am on a website [Pinterest], and there are multiple images; when it pops up with what I guess is the 'gallery' it does not sort it by size at all. And, when I press 'next' it switches to a completely different image.
- I mainly just want a way to truly isolate the image that I am trying to download, and then just find the larger versions. I have tested this and even if there are two or more images of the same time [different sizes], it will not load just those images; nor will it only display the largest.
UPDATED:
- I noticed that whenever I open an image in a new tab, it automatically loads the highest resolution, but not every time.

publicado há 4 anosSorry for the late reply. I might be extrapolating a bit too much from your request, but are you looking for a way to automatically reverse image search the image, and find larger versions?
If so, that's actually not what this addon currently does. It doesn't replace using a reverse image search engine, but rather complements it, because image search engines will often not provide the largest version that a site will offer.
This addon works by using APIs and regex rules specific to each of the sites it supports to find the largest publicly available version of the image that the site offers. For example, let's say that a website has the following images:
example.com/image_small.jpg
example.com/image_large.jpg
If this addon had a rule for that site, it would replace image_small.jpg with image_large.jpg, based entirely on the URL of the image (replacing _small with _large).
I'm not against adding support for reverse image search engines in a future version, but I'm not sure when I'll have time to get to that. If someone else would like to contribute this in the meantime though, I would be more than happy to accept a PR! :)

Regarding Chrome, I haven't updated the (sideloaded) extension to Manifest V3 yet, which is why it can't be installed under newer versions of Chrome. I'm not sure if it's possible or not without reducing its featureset, but it's something I'll look into in the future.
In the meantime, if you do still want to use it with Chrome browsers, you can still use it as a userscript (using something like Tampermonkey or ScriptCat), which has most of the functionality of the addon. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por safeAnonym, há 13 dias

Now that Google reverse image lookup is no more this add-on is the best. I use it first to find larger/Better image. Even when it fails I can then use "Search by image" add-on, on what it did find to either search Google lens or TinyEye and about 10 other reverse lookup engines. Its not as convenient as google reverse lookup add-on I had but I believe I might actually be getting to what I want faster now. Not in steps but in results found. 60+% of time I find it in first step not needing "Search by image" add-on. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 14571061 do Firefox, há um mês
- Hello, I just discovered this extension and I find it much better than Imagus. Thank you to the developer! However, I have a problem with Google Images: IMU 2025.12.0 works fine with the first 100 thumbnails on the page, but beyond that, IMU no longer displays the image in full size, but only the thumbnails.

publicado há um mêsGoogle Images recently updated, and the previous technique to find the original images past 100 (the preloaded amount) doesn't work anymore. I've implemented a fix for the userscript version, but unfortunately getting this to work on the extension version is a bit trickier, and might not land in the next release (it needs to intercept HTTP calls, which is definitely my least favorite approach towards supporting a website).
I've tracked the feature here: https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl/issues/1533 . Note that once it's implemented, you will need to enable "Rules intercepting HTTP requests" (under the Rules tab). It's disabled by default because it carries a fingerprinting risk. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por https://www.youtube.com/@digitalartist2D, há um mês
