Política de privacidade de Ratnot
Privacy Policy for Ratnot
Effective Date: December 30, 2025
Ratnot ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains
how our Chrome Extension handles information when you use it.
Information Collection and Use
Core Functionality: Ratnot does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from your
Whatnot account or browsing history. The extension processes live auction data locally on your
device to calculate Expected Value (EV) and display real-time statistics.
Anonymous Usage Analytics: To improve the extension and understand which features are most
useful, we collect anonymous usage data via Aptabase. This is purely for feature tracking and
does not include any personal information.
- What we track: Feature interactions (e.g., "AI Pricing used"), onboarding progress, and basic
environment data (Browser name/version). - Privacy by Design: Aptabase does not use cookies, IP tracking, or persistent device
identifiers. Sessions are untraceable and completely anonymous. - Data Residency: All analytics data is stored in Aptabase's EU data centers, complying with
GDPR, CCPA, and PECR.
Local Processing
All data processing happens locally on your device. We do not have a backend server that receives
your data.
Data Storage and Local Preferences
Ratnot does not store personal or sensitive information (such as browsing history, Whatnot account
details, or bidding history).
Ratnot uses your browser's Local Storage to save:
- UI preferences (overlay positions, dimensions).
- Application state (onboarding tour completion).
- A temporary, anonymous session ID for analytics that rotates every 24 hours.
This data is stored locally on your device to ensure a consistent experience across sessions and is
never transmitted to our servers. Clipboard Data: We only access the clipboard when the AI Pricing
tool is active to import user-copied values. This data is processed locally and never stored.
Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising. Our only
third-party service provider is Aptabase, which acts as a data processor for the anonymous technical
logs mentioned in Section
Information Collection and Use.Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Effective Date"
at the top of this page.
