Save webP as PNG or JPEG (Converter) por jscher2000

It works but it is very invasive and annoying, I want to convert and choose a setting, I want it conerted silently, I don't want an annoying popup displayed on each picture, even on those that don't need to be converted.
As it is I prefer to save as webp and change the format afterwards in Photoshop ( with the adequate plugin and a script it is faster, give more control and it is more reliable)

* No automatic info / button bar *
On the Add-on's Options page, under "Button Bar Options", look for "Open bar automatically" and make sure it is *not* checked.
* Silent Save *
On the Add-on's Options page, under "Menu Item Options", you can set the "Plain click" action to save in your preferred format instead of showing buttons. Under "Save Dialog / AutoSave Options" you can control whether to show a Save As dialog or not.
I think that should resolve your concerns, but let me know if you don't find those options.

Save webP as PNG or JPEG is a must-have Firefox extension for anyone frustrated by websites serving images exclusively in webP format. With a simple right-click, it allows you to save webP images as PNG or JPEG, making them easier to edit, share, or use with software that doesn’t support webP.
Pros:
✅ One-click conversion: Quickly converts webP images to PNG or JPEG with a simple right-click.
✅ Preserves image quality: The converted images maintain their original resolution and clarity.
✅ Convenient format choice: Gives you the option to save as either PNG (lossless) or JPEG (compressed).
✅ Lightweight and efficient: Works quickly without slowing down your browser.
✅ Perfect for compatibility: Ideal for working with older software or platforms that don’t support webP.
Cons:
❌ No bulk conversion: You can only convert images one at a time, which may be slow for large batches.
❌ Limited settings: Lacks advanced customization options like compression levels or metadata stripping.
💡 Overall, Save webP as PNG or JPEG is a simple yet powerful Firefox extension that makes dealing with webP images hassle-free. It’s perfect for users who frequently need more compatible image formats. Highly recommended! - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Tehcra, há 4 meses

I don't get it why there are so many Miesmacher und Kritikaster in the reviews, but some people are born vinegar drinkers that can never be pleased, don't let it get you down, it's a perfect add-on imho.

publicado há 7 mesesHi Alonzo, this should work if you right-click > Open Image in New Tab. Is that still working? If the site responds to that by showing the image in the context of a page, then the code won't kick in.
Occasionally users discover a problem with the saved settings and need to clear them to start again. I posted a back door way to do this; I don't have a built-in feature for it.
