This extension does NOT effectively or accurately do what it claims -- the exaggerated claim masks what it really is: A universal tracker and data collection app for everything you see and do with Firefox. You have to provide an email address to use it! I ran a test based on a purchase I made the day before: I found a specific SSD drive on Amazon with their best price of $74.50 but then looked around and found it on Ebay for $68.00 and bought it there. So today, after installing this extension, I ran the exact same purchase test on Amazon: After the $74.50 price came up on Amazon the Capital One Shopper did NOT pop up with the price of $68.00 on Ebay (or anywhere else).
The access permissions for this extension enable it to collect your PERSONAL, NON-ANONYMOUS data on absolutely EVERYTHING you do in Firefox in real time from all open tabs and searches. Then, by its own admission, immediately sends this personalized data back to Capital One for their use and storage (and ostensibly so they can find you "like, the absolute bestest price EVER!") Sure the user agrees to this during installation, but how many people realize just how invasive it is and that it really does not do what it claims very well? This extension crosses the line into serious privacy abuse and seems like it may even present a security vulnerability to the Firefox platform.
Do not install it and open the account they require for it to operate "just to give it a try" because the second it becomes active in your Firefox it will immediately grab everything it can find and send it to Capital One with your name and email address on it. And they don't let you change the email address you give them when activating the extension.

1, It's dumb. There has been an occasion where I had manually applied a code and by running Capital One shopping it actually removed my (better) code, and applied one that gave me less savings. Irritating to say the least.
2, The second issue I have encountered is it doesn't seem to be able to apply more than one code even if the codes can work together.
3, It's inconsistent. I removed a code, messed around in the cart, ended up with the same stuff, came back. When Capital One ran again, it gave me a code that had didn't save as much. Why didn't it apply one of the better codes? This is also how I found out about multiple codes, because I added the first one back (I don't trust C1 shopping so I saved the code) and managed to save the most with the combo of codes.
It has definitely located better codes to save more money with minimal effort from me but this is not a perfect solution, at least on the coupon and discount code front. Still easier than me searching them up, though! - Avaliado em 1 de 5por Usuário 19470254 do Firefox, há 2 meses

I have been very pleased with Cap One SHopping and will continue to use it as I continue to get substantial savings of at least $50 - $150 weekly

So I'm just not downloading this because it could be something like honey idk.

- Avaliado em 1 de 5por carrie640, há 5 mesesThey give you some stupid upfront reward and then you never ever get another one. The "rewards" are nearly impossible to get as most retailers do not participate. The only thing it MIGHT be good for is to autorun coupon codes when you buy something online...but even that mostly fails. Time to uninstall.
- Avaliado em 1 de 5por skevil, há 5 mesesUseless add-on that's only ever installed because of Capital One's bait-and-switch tactic of promising free money. There is no money, uninstall on move on.

Further to that, it doesn't work in the browser; it forces you to a separate website; the codes almost never work, and when they do, they are conditional. Best avoided.
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por crice, há 6 mesesSometimes it doesn't give the best discounts, but the times it does, it far outdoes all the times it misses them. Easy to use with no upkeep (so far) and it opportunistically helps me at no cost to me at all! I seriously appreciate it being broke as I am right now.
