- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 14078353 do Firefox, há 7 anosUPDATE: It's working again, yay! Thanks for updating it, and thanks for making it!
If this addon also converted auto-generated subtitles in an update, THAT would be incredible (I had to piece together an AutoHotKey script to be able to do it, but it's clunky and doesn't do nearly as well as the pure download of the srt file this addon offers).
Thanks again! - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 13897579 do Firefox, há 7 anosRecently it does not work properly. It cannot check out if Youtube video has subtitle or not. Therefore closed captions of some videos can not be downloaded.
It worked very well before. But not now. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por scrutinizer, há 7 anosI'm not very keen on using add-ons and any other kind extensions for their notorious ability to cause every type of corruption of browsers' functionality but this is a much needed add-on for a person that watches English-speaking YouTube videos and doesn't want any unknown word to slip through his attention for later scrutiny in order to extend his/her learning ability. Sadly more and more YT videos adopt auto-generation of subtitles which this add-on can do nothing about. Auto-generation as it comes from the notion's definition occurs at run-time only, so there's no technical option to extract subtitles stream. I was able to download a SRT file only for one video so far.
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 13793933 do Firefox, há 8 anosIt works like a charm. It gives SRT files, which is perfect.

- Avaliado em 1 de 5por Nathan Wailes, há 8 anosIt's not totally fair to give this a one-star review since the name of the addon is "Subtitle Downloader" and not "Transcript Downloader", but I think the creator should add a clarification to the addon description saying that this does not download Google's auto-generated transcripts.

Perfect for me - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 13011706 do Firefox, há 8 anosperfect so far, thank you. Had issues getting another prominent caption downloader to work, with this one I had no problems
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 12878112 do Firefox, há 8 anosThanks a lot for this add-on, it works great and it couldn't be easier to use.
However, it stopped working when I updated to firefox 52. For me it's no big deal, I have another computer where I will not be updating to firefox 52 (that's how much I like this add-on!), but I'm looking forward to a patched version, thanks!Resposta do desenvolvedor
publicado há 8 anosThanks for using my add-on!
I updated the add-on for Firefox 52. Hope that it will be approved soon :) - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Точки над Ё, há 9 anosWorks very well!
I wish it would look different though: as a sub-menu of 'Download YouTube Videos as MP4' add-on or a separate 'Subtitles' menu next to it.
It would be really great if it would also be capable of downloading automatic captions.
Definitely the wording has to be 'Subtitles', not 'Subtitle', and download links have to be in blue, not red. - Avaliado em 2 de 5por Wallace Fung, há 9 anosThis software is the only caption download working in youtube so far but the response is very slow. I hope the writer can fix this problem.

publicado há 9 anosI tried to install Firefox 45 and there is not any link. It's really an error of the add-on.
I'm sorry. I only test the add-on on Firefox 46. The minimum Firefox version of the add-on is specified by 45 (although it should not).
I fixed the add-on to run on Firefox 45 and will update it to version 0.0.4. However, it could take sometimes to be official.
Could you upgrade your Firefox to the latest version (version 46)?- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 12340337 do Firefox, há 9 anosI submit this review in addition to my previous review 3rd June 2016.
dabruna says "Where is button?" (6th June 2016)
There is no button, as I said in my previous review the subtitles that are available appear in RED showing language options, this is to be seen just below the Youtube Subscribe option.
I have now tried this on an old Windows 7 laptop to make sure it is also compatible as well as my Windows 8.1
It works perfectly.
I have Firefox 46.0.1
