I have been using this service for a long time, and it never fails to disappoint me. All the annoying ads are blocked, and I no longer have to worry about my information being distributed. The user interface is so user-friendly, and the stats just amaze me. This is a great extension for all those out there that care about their safety online.

appears to be working just fine in most sites ... but fails to perform correctly on YouTube ... i guess that's YT's thing though, as lately, it's been bypassing the good old AdBlocker's ad blocking filters just as well ... besides, apparently, AdBlocker is also in cahoots with YT now, thus allowing some 'harmless' ads be played ... and that's a bummer! (Google owns YT as we all know ... maybe G's to blame?!)

While using this extension it attempted to block a legitimate website. When I clicked allow I got a message to use a foreign virus scanner.

you dummies! v8.12.11 suddenly no longer appears/works in private browsing. MAJOR FAIL!

Ghostery has given me so much peace of mind and actual stats to go with it. The emails I received about people in the privacy minded community are unmatched in my opinion. I can't believe I've gone this long without knowing the "behind the curtain" issues at hand. I credit this company with educating me and informing me on current privacy issues

Definitely the best content blocker available to keep the browser safe from tracker, ad block, internet mess-up.

I love the lack of ads, everything else is a bonus.

In tandem with other ad and tarcker blockers such as Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin, you know your browsing is safe.
The only real drawbacks are that many features on a website are blocked, including captchas, and soetimes entire websites that arelegitimate won't allow you to access them. in that case, I must open another browser with Ghostery installed to access them, which is a bit of a pain, but easily overcome if you recognise what's going on.
So 4 out 5 Stars is generous, as the limitations placed on regualr browsing can sometimes outweigh the benefits,

Ghostery needs to have AI update the adblocker because YouTube keeps bypassing it needs updated don't use their browser until they do update for the meantime use Adguard guys! If ghostery reads this PLEASE patch your adblocker thanks! Nothing bad YouTube algorithm is managing to find ways to bypass adblockers be careful guys!
