por cheatfreak47 , há 2 anos uBlock Origin is an extension that by now, needs no introduction, but once upon a time the landscape for adblocking extensions was looking quite dire.
Adblock Plus began implementing "acceptable ad" policies, which threatened to wrestle control away from the user to effectively hamstring it's functionality.
uBlock Origin is effectively the panacea for these sorts of problems. It's free from corporate influence entirely as far as I can tell, and it's completely free, open-source, and entirely transparent about effectively everything it does to give you the complete control you want over what is rendered in your browser window.
It's so good that Google seems to be trying to find roundabout ways to hamstring it because they likely think it might be effecting their bottom line in their online advertising business.
Regardless, uBlock Origin is a one of a kind software. It's feature rich, lightweight, and it's easy to use. You can know as much or as little as you want about how it works or how to use it and that has little impact on your browsing experience as a whole. Obviously if you put more effort into learning it's more complex features, you can tailor your browsing experience further- but for most, that's not something to be trifled with.
True excellence, even among a sea of similar extensions.
uBlock Origin is a ray of light in an otherwise bleak and depressing future for the world wide web. It's one of the last frontiers for giving users the absolute final say in what is or is not being rendered in our browsers.
If we ever allow corporations to fully wrestle this control away- in my opinion, one of the last things left that makes the internet great will have been lost.
I don't know if I would even regularly use the modern internet without this extension.

- You are the best Raymond Hill! In this relentless digital war for our data, uBlock Origin remains the only wall that doesn't crumble. 1,200+ blocks in a single session is not just a statistic; it’s our right to exist online without being harvested. Thank you, for your work, for the unpaid excellent work, unwavering idealism. 5 stars are simply a formality for a masterpiece of privacy. Pure, unadulterated perfection! And by extending this philosophy to the DNS level, the protection is now absolute. No tracker survives, no data is harvested. You haven't just built a tool; you've built a sanctuary of privacy. Thank you for the 'Increase' in our freedom!
- Google has made it so you can't watch youtube videos if you have this program active on your computer. By active I mean running at all even if it is disabled for youtube. If you go to settings and turn it off there so that it is not active for any websites then you can use youtube pretty reliably otherwise you will have buffering problems and slow videos.

- In a world full of trackers and corporate greed, uBlock Origin is the only fortress we can trust. It’s not just an ad-blocker; it’s a statement of digital independence. I'm giving 5 stars, but honestly, even they are too few for an application so perfect. Thank you, Sir Raymond Hill, for staying an idealist and giving us the power to reclaim our privacy. 1,200+ blocks in one session and still counting. Pure perfection!
