The product installs AOL as a mailto option just fine, but unfortunately as of 2025 AOL it doesn't work the way it should to fill in the fields as AOL now uses different compose link. I looked to see what Yahoo mail uses currently when it installed on my computer and switched out "yahoo.com" to "aol.com" and it works perfectly.

There is a way to use javascript to do the same thing this extension does manually. Use ctrl+shift+k and look up how to do it with navigator.registerProtocolHandler (must be done while you are on the AOL mail page and afterwards look for a button to appear in the top browser frame).

Ditto to what Monique said, this add-on only opens the AOL Mail page, but does not start a new message, let alone fill in the address of the recipient, nor the subject line. Would give it negative stars for wasting my time, if I could!

The add-on only opens Aol Mail welcome page, it does not open a new message of which the fields recipient and subject would be prefilled. Besides, since it opens Aol welcome page in the same tab, you don't even see anymore the email address you clicked on.

Easy to install; solved our problem.
