- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 14792473 , há 4 anosseems very nice, thank you !
but,
- I can't follow instructions because extension is translated (in French)and I can't choose english so: how do I disable translation (to have it in English) ?
- Instructions are not really clear: what are letters displayed on the icon ? When I go on a test fingerprinting page, it changes from green icon to red, show some numbers (of fingerprinting attemps I guess) and then there is a letter like "C" or "D": what does it mean ? Didn't found anything about that
- on the provided test page "Canvas test", it is said that hash are expected to be the same when refreshed. What does it mean if they change (when I click "refresh" button hash change) ?
-On the configuration page I have a text highlighted in red saying something in French (thus why is it translated by default if I don't want ?): "Vous avez activé la protection contre le pistage de Fingerprinting (empreinte digitale – composants de l’ordinateur)." = "You have activated protection against fingerprinting (fingerprint-computer component): what does it mean ? is it bad or good and if bad what can I do ?Resposta do programador
publicado a há 4 anosThe extension is translated in several languages (https://crowdin.com/project/canvasblocker) and the main language is English. As the used language is controlled by Firefox you have to check your browser settings to know why it's displayed in French.
The letters on the icon indicate which APIs where protected by the extension (C = canvas, D = DOMRect, N = naivgator, W = window, A = audio). If you hover over the icon with your mouse you should get a tooltip with further information. But you get the detailed information when you click on the fingerprint icon in the url bar.
If the hashes do not change it can mean several things - most likely something in your settings. Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with all your questions and your settings. This review system is not great for extensive communication.
The red message indicates that you have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled which changes the behaviour of CB slightly (it most likely explains that the hashes do not change). It's not bad - just something to be aware of. Here is the English translation of that message: You have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled. This slightly changes the behaviour of CanvasBlocker. publicado a há 4 anosYou can only use it on the Nightly branch Firefox for Android at the moment: https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues/521
Only 18 extensions are currently available on normal Firefox for Android: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/collections/4757633/7dfae8669acc4312a65e8ba5553036/- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 16360031 , há 4 anos

- Amazing extension, very straightforward to use. coupled with duck duck go and their privacy extension i always know what each site is up to. some websites hiccup, or deny access, mostly when trying to access account information or using credit cards. so far this has been very minor, and only on websites that i trust (like my bank) must have for anyone who enjoys peace of mind online.

publicado a há 4 anosUsually you install the addon, select a preset that matches your needs and you are good to go.
Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with a description of what you want instructions for. There we can communicate better and you can follow the progress on the subject. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 16469568 , há 5 anosAwesome. Works great. Thanks for the privacy policy that actually allows for... privacy!
- I downloaded this and it really blocked most of my sites and make a lot of other Firefox Icons stop working. I uninstalled it and everything is fine. My friend had the same thing happen. We both use the newest Firefox and windows 10. Thanks anyway but we will stay away from this add-on..

publicado a há 5 anosI'm not sure what you exactly mean by "a lot of other Firefox Icons stop working" but it sounds like something I should look into. Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with your specific problem and your settings.
The blocking of sites is often something that can be addressed by settings. You can also open an issue for that and I can look what your sites need to work properly. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 12897781 , há 5 anos
